Sensu contributors are one of the best things about the Sensu Community. If you have contributed to the Sensu community in some way, we would like to thank you with some Sensu swag.

With so many helpful contributions happening all over the world, it’s easy to miss a few. Let us know if you’ve contributed to Sensu in some way, and we’ll send you a link for a free reward, shipped straight to you from the Sensu store.

Eligible contributions include:

  • Answering question in developer forums, including the Sensu Community Discourse
  • Submitting pull requests to a Sensu OSS project
  • Sharing your Sensu sucess story on social media
  • Writing a blog post about your Sensu use case
  • Speaking about Sensu at a conference or meetup
  • Or any other contribution you can share a link to :)

  • Share your Sensu sucess story on social media (e.g. mention @sensu on Twitter)
  • Submit a GitHub Issue to the Sensu Catalog Project (e.g. request a new integration or comment on an existing request)
  • Submit a GitHub Issue to Sensu Documentation
  • Welcome a new member of the Sensu Community (e.g. even if you don’t have the answer, generally supportive comments on Discourse are always welcome)

Who is eligible for the rewards?

Only verified Sensu users are eligible for the rewards. There are no hard rules on how we verify users. In general, contributions should be based on your personal experience with Sensu.

Where do you ship?

We currently only ship swag to North America. Alternative rewards are available to verified users in other countries.

How can I check my reward status?

Curious how close you are to the next milestone? Drop us a note and we’ll follow up.

How are contributions verified?

Contributions are verified by our Developer Advocacy Team. There are no hard rules on what qualifies as a valid contribution. In general, we intend to reward genuine efforts to contribute, not results (e.g. a pull request may be rejected and still earn a reward).

Getting started as a Sensu Contributor

If you would you like to contribute to Sensu, but you’re not sure how to get started, drop us a line!

We can help new contributors find speaking opportunities or content publishing opportunities (e.g. blog posts), help sponsor in-person or online meetups (including internal company meetups), or help identify some low-hanging fruit for submitting pull requests to Sensu OSS projects.
