As explained below, we collect and process personal data in various ways depending upon your use of the Sensu Site. We collect and process personal data on the following legal bases: (1) with your consent; (2) as necessary to perform our agreement to provide the services you request; and (3) as necessary for our legitimate interests in providing the Sensu Site where those interests do not override your fundamental rights and freedom related to data privacy.
We collect the e-mail addresses and certain personal information of those who communicate with us via e-mail or register with us to open an Account or obtain the Sensu platform or other Sensu products and services. We also collect certain personal and non-personal information regarding which pages users access or visit, and information volunteered by the users (such as any surveys Sensu might conduct and/or site registrations). When you request a Sensu account, we ask for the following information: your name, your company name, and a valid e-mail address at which we may contact you.
We may receive information about you from other sources, including publicly available databases or third parties from whom we have purchased data, and combine this data with information we already have about you. This helps us to update, expand and analyze our records, identify new customers, and provide products and services that may be of interest to you. If you provide us personal information about others, or if others give us your information, we will only use that information for the specific reason for which it was provided to us.
Sensu may also collect and analyze from visitors and users certain non-personal information regarding the use of the Sensu Site and services available therein. Such non-personal information collected may include but is not limited to internet location, web site traffic volume, frequency of visits, type and time of transactions, type of browser and operating system, etc.
Use of Information
Sensu will use personal information only in ways that are compatible with the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently authorized by the individual. Sensu will take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is relevant to its intended use, accurate, complete and current.
We may use personal information to provide the services you've requested, including services that may display customized forms, documents, and reports and may include personal information that you provide in public forums. We may also use personal information for auditing, research and analysis to operate and improve the services you receive from the Sensu Site. We may use certain other information collected from you to help diagnose technical problems, administer the Sensu Site, and improve the quality and types of services that may be delivered to you.

How to Limit the Use of Your Information
In many instances, you have choices about the information you provide and how we use your information. These choices, and any related consequences, are described in detail below.
Marketing Emails: When you create an account through the Sensu Site or sign up for certain communications, you are required to provide us with an accurate email address through which we may contact you. Based on the choices you made when you registered we may use your email address to communicate with you about offerings from us, our selected vendors, and partners. While you cannot opt-out of receiving notifications and other communications regarding your account or your transactions, you can always opt- out of receiving promotional and other marketing emails from us by: (1) using the "unsubscribe" feature in our marketing emails; (2) clicking unsubscribe here; or (3) contacting us at email@example.com.
Third-Party Service Providers/Business Partners/Affiliates/Subsidiaries: You can always rescind your consent to share your information with third-party service providers, business partners, affiliates or subsidiaries by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Location Tracking: Most mobile devices allow you to control or disable the use of precise location services by any application on your mobile device through the device's settings' menu.
Online Tracking and Interest-Based Advertising Choices: You also have choices to limit some tracking mechanisms that collect information when you use the Sensu Site. Many web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser's setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, certain features of the Sensu Site, including the Sensu Site themselves, may not function properly or remain accessible to you. In addition, you may also render some web beacons unusable by rejecting or removing their associated cookies. Note that if you choose to remove cookies, you may remove opt-out cookies that affect your advertising preferences.
Similarly, you can learn about your options to opt-out of mobile app tracking by certain advertising networks through your device settings. For more information about how to change these settings for Apple, Android or Windows devices, see:
Please note that opting-out of advertising networks services does not mean that you will not receive advertising while using the Sensu Site or on other websites, nor will it prevent the receipt of interest-based advertising from third parties that do not participate in these programs. It will, however, exclude you from interest-based advertising conducted through participating networks, as provided by their policies and choice mechanisms
Cookies and other Tracking Technologies
Like many sites, Sensu and our analytics provider, use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts, to analyze trends, administer the website, tracking users' movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual and aggregated basis.
Local Storage Objects (HTML 5)
We use Local Storage Objects (LSOs) such as HTML5 to store content information and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our site or to display advertising based upon your Web browsing activity use LSOs such as HTML 5. Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing HTML 5 LSOs.
Analytics/ Log Files
As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.
We do link some of this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information. This allows us to deliver a better experience by reducing the amount of data that needs to be entered when filling out forms, downloading gated content, completing surveys, etc.
Behavioral Targeting/ Re-Targeting
Social Media (Features) and Widgets
Sensu has implemented processes intended to protect user information and maintain security of data. Each Account holder is assigned a unique user name and password, which is required to access their Account. It is each user's responsibility to protect the security of his or her login information. We have attempted to protect Sensu's servers by locating them in areas with security procedures, using firewalls and implementing other generally available security technologies. These safeguards help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of data, but NO GUARANTEE CAN BE MADE THAT YOUR INFORMATION AND DATA WILL BE SECURE FROM INTRUSIONS AND UNAUTHORIZED RELEASE TO THIRD PARTIES.
When you enter sensitive information (such as login credentials), we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you have any questions about security on our Web site, you can contact us at email@example.com .
Cancellation or Termination of the Account
If your Account is terminated for any reason, please be aware that Sensu may for a time retain residual information in our backup and/or archival copies of our data stores and databases. We will make reasonable commercial efforts to delete your information as soon as reasonably practical. We will respond to your request to access within 30 business days.
